St. James the Greater, one of the original twelve apostles, is the patron saint of Christian Spain. His body is believed by many members of the faithful to be interred in the Crypt of the Compostela Cathedral in Galicia.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Robert Hodum studied Archaeology and Romance Language at Gettysburg College. He completed his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook College focusing on Latin American History and Spanish Literature; he currently lives in Port Jefferson, New York.
