Plato Papajohn was born January 30, 1932, in the village of Oxilithos on the Greek island of Evia. He immigrated to the United States in 1948 and subsequently became a naturalized American citizen, the first immigrant in the history of America to be naturalized under a year. He served in the United States Army in Europe during the Korean Conflict, and currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Papajohn holds a degree in electronics, a diploma from the New York Institute of Professional Photography, and a certificate in color photography from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He has served as past Master and has achieved a 32nd Degree in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonary. He is also a Shriner. |
