INTRODUCTION

Exploring the history of African Americans through CultureSeek’s historical facts and word puzzles promises to increase your knowledge, inspire your soul, and make you thirst for more history. There is certainly more information than this book contains; however, CultureSeek serves to actively connect readers to some of the rich history and culture of African Americans –which is worthy of worldwide attention. The first several chapters include information about the continent of Africa. While the information is not all-inclusive, it is important than a label (African-, Afro-, American, Negro, Colored, Black, etc.) from society. There are fascinating messages within each historical fact that can re-shape our thinking and help us appreciate the contributions of those who came before us, as well as the historical people who still exist today. Historical facts are the keys to unlock your mind. Prepare for the journey!

INSTRUCTIONS

The word puzzles were developed to provide an interactive section after reading the historical facts. It is recommended that you read and find the underlined words in bold print. Please do not cross out the word once it is found because this book will still serve as your historical reference to African American culture. Perhaps a checkmark off to the side of the word will suffice.
