Legendary DJ Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC who was scheduled to perform Thursday at a Washington Wizards home game was was shot in the head and killed inside his studios in Queens, New York.

Sources said he was shot and killed when two men entered the studio on Merrick Boulevard around 7:30 PM where he was relaxing after a recording session.  A second unidentified victim was also shot.

These Killings of Rappers bring back to mind the senseless slaying of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.

"This is a huge loss to the Rapper community" a source told BBN, Jay was working on bringing out new talents who might have placed competition on the shoulders of the other studios."

Streams of his fans were seen gathering outside the studios. "This is a damn shame, that the Blackman is caught down in this society every day, a fan told us. He was our John Lennon, he made Aero Smith famous, why did he have to die?"
