Donations
On September 2,
2001, The House of the Lord Pentecostal Church in conjunction with Paedeia
Educational Promotions, the Community Board #2, Literary Groups and local
businesses will team up to present Black Books Plus 2001 (BBP 2001), the 1st
open-air book fair, focusing on the contributions of Authors and books people of
the African Diaspora. Readings and book presentations will begin on Saturday,
Sept. 1 and a one-day book and family festival along Atlantic Avenue, on Sunday,
Sept. 2nd.
BBP™
2001, will bring together all of the elements of the African
American
publishing industry into an open air bookstore, that will provide the public
with access to literary materials, that are not readily available on the market.

GOALS
BBP's goals are to establish an on-line registry of African, African American/Caribbean
Literature published World-wide.
To provide information related to Books, Authors and the Industry to the general
public. To make books accessible and affordable to minorities. To
establish community based libraries and bookstore. Join us in this effort.
